Tansi! My name Is Rebecca, I am Red River Métis from British Columbia! I am a 17 year old artisan who has loved creating since I was in elementary school. I have been involved with my Indigenous roots since I could walk and put good medicine into all my creations. I started Crisis Crochet when I was 14, selling my art to friends and family then at farmer's markets and fairs.

I sell crochet & knit clothing, handmade soap & bath products, fancy (and sparkly) beaded earrings, and make gorgeous ribbon skirts.

I primarily do fibre art, meaning crochet and knitting. I design each and every piece I make taking inspiration from the gorgeous Squamish Nation territory on which I reside. I also do textile arts, meaning sewing and designing different pieces. I ONLY use NATURAL and sustainably sourced fibres. After working on my designs for a long time I know how to make a longlasting piece that will stand the test of time.

Sewing ribbon skirts is medicine and I'm very proud to offer individually designed ribbon skirts ALWAYS with pockets and adjustable waistband, inspired my Cree heritage. I also do beaded earrings in a variety of styles deeply connected to my Métis roots.

Handmade soap and other bath products (e.g. laundry detergent, deodorant, dish soap, etc) are available seasonably and at craft fairs.

I take pride in everything I create and have a deep rooted passion for everything I produce. I'm always making something new and exciting! I hope you enjoy!
