George Simard is a figurative clay sculpture, born in Fort William (Thunder Bay) and now residing in Simcoe, Ontario. He is an active Métis harvester and land user, who has formally studied at both the Toronto School of Art and Acton School of Sculpture. George serves as the President of Kooshkopayiw Métis Arts Council, and was a co-curator of the inaugural Kooshkopayiw Art Exhibition at the 2023 Métis Nation of Ontario Annual General Assembly.
