Boreal Gardens is a boutique experimental permaculture farm that started in 2016. Currently, there are two acres of vegetables and berries planted on 4.5 acres within the natural forest. Boreal Gardens also features a one-acre orchard. The project includes applying Indigenous ecosystems within the natural system to grow food year round. Currently, the property has 13 Hügelkulturs’ built along with raised garden beds which include spiral gardens, pyramid gardens, and seeds planted in the forest.
